How Does It Work?

The Frost-Proof Standpipe provides running water all year round even in sub-zero temperatures.

The shut off valve operates below the frost line, preventing the standpipe from freezing.

By simply lifting the lever up you open the shut off valve which is at the bottom of the pipe under ground, water comes up the pipe and out of the spout. When the lever is lowered the valve is closed, all water in the pipe drains out of a hole in the valve which is in the ground below the frost line.

The standpipe can easily be installed anywhere water is supplied under pressure.
